Simply Rooted began around a kitchen table in small-town Western Oklahoma during Thanksgiving 2025. In the comfort of being together as a family, ideas were shared, dreams took shape, and excitement grew into something we now have the joy of living out—made possible by the unwavering faith that guides us and the strength of our family and community.
Our foundation is rooted in faith in God, the importance of family, and the value of community. Terri, raised on a cattle farm by auctioneer parents in Western Oklahoma, spent the past 30 years partnering with her husband, Tom, to raise their four children—John, Emily, Lizzie, and Annie—in the Dallas area, with faith and family at the center of all they did. While our roots have stretched across Oklahoma, Dallas, and beyond as we’ve built families, friendships, and even unexpected college football loyalties, we’ve found our way back home—Terri, Emily, and Lizzie in Dallas, and Annie studying nursing in Oklahoma.
Today, we cherish the simple joys of being together: family game nights, college sports rivalries, and, of course, shopping. For us, shopping was never just about clothes—it was about time together, laughter, confidence, and feeling seen.
Simply Rooted came to life through group texts, countless Google searches, and late-night Zoom sessions—built from our homes, in stolen moments of free time, with a shared desire to create something meaningful. This boutique reflects the joy we’ve always found in talking fashion, bouncing outfit ideas off one another, and getting ready together. It’s where our love for fashion and our heart for community meet.
We believe that when we look our best, we feel our best—and that confidence carries into every interaction, conversation, and moment of our day. Above all, our prayer is to remain rooted in Christ, with Him as the foundation of all we do.
